To ensure the resilience of U.S. infrastructure, it is essential that networks associated with infrastructure assets are protected against increasingly frequent cyber attacks. Argonne's Cyber team develops and implements the tools and provides the expertise to conduct extensive network analysis to support federal agencies, military sponsors, and commercial organizations in efforts to improve the security and resilience of their network design and operations.


The Cyber team was founded in 2013 to apply the resilience tools and techniques developed by the RISC to cyber assets. Our team of cyber analysts provides operations, subject matter expert, and research support for a wide range of initiatives.

Cyber Operations, Research, and Situational Awareness (CORSA)

The CORSA Group’s mission is to support national and global defense against cyber risks through operation, analysis, research, and design of tools and systems. Emphasizing improvements for cybersecurity operations, increases in sharing cyber knowledge, and expansions in situational awareness.

Strategic Cyber Analysis and Research (SCAR)

The SCAR Group’s mission is to assess, prevent, mitigate, and educate on current and future cybersecurity threats through analytical assessments and methodology, applied research, proactive defense development, and subject matter expertise to our national and global partners. We also provide training to more than 500 participants via various technical cyber courses. Resources for these courses can be found under the resources tab at the bottom of the page.
